Izumi started her career as a regular member of "The Thoroughbreds," a female vocal trio in September, 1969, led by Mr. Kyosen Ohashi who run his own popular late night TV show called "11PM" and "Geba Geba 90 Minutes" (Nippon Television Network) and his TBS radio show called "Kyosen Plus 1." One year after, Izumi released her albums, "Onegaigaaruno" and "Dokokade-Darekani."
